Fun Intimate Race + Religious Wedding // Abby and Mills
We absolutely LOVE the story of the beginning of Abby and Mills' relationship. After briefly talking to Mills from a distance, Abby felt early on that he was going to be an important part of her life. These two (+ their adorable pup, Soda) hosted their destination New Orleans wedding at Race & Religious, and the day couldn't have been more beautiful. Mint Julep Productions executed the day perfectly and Antigua Floral + Styling created one of our favorite ceremony backdrops EVER! Watch their Bride Film and read their full love story from Abby below.

"Mills and I met through Tumblr (a blogging site)! I had just started mine and Mills was listed as a "top writer." His blog was a mixture of very serious posts about literature, art, and religion and then silly posts and pictures of his dog. I started following him, he started following me, and we started liking each other's posts. As corny as it sounds, I had a feeling that he was supposed to be a part of my life. I messaged him and asked if he would like to send letters/packages through the mail. He agreed and we did so. We started emailing. Long, long emails about anything and everything. Soon after we spoke on the phone.
I was going to visit my mom who lived in East Texas and he said that his family owned a ranch in East Texas (it was his grandfather's and used to be a working cattle ranch). We decided to meet IN REAL LIFE! I was so nervous and excited, I felt ill. We had never discussed whether it was romantic, but I thought maybe it could be (he certainly was handsome in his photos!!!).
Then I had to convince my mom to drive me to a huge ranch in the middle of nowhere and leave me there with a man I'd met on the internet. It wasn't easy, but she finally agreed.
We finally met in the parking lot of the Dixie Cafe in Hearne, Texas. We drove to the ranch and my mom wanted to hang out a bit to make sure Mills wasn't a murderer (lol). We drove around the ranch in the Mule ATV (Mills and I in the front and my mom in the backseat). She claims that she saw Mills look at me the way she looked me and knew it was ok. We had an amazing few days with some friends at the ranch: shooting cans with guns, hiking through the forest, wearing camo pants (my first-ever gift from Mills!), drinking beer on the back porch, jumping off cliffs into the river, and falling in love.
