From Allison:
"Easter weekend I was expecting another fabulous weekend with my parents and Clay in Breckenridge, CO, where my parents honeymooned and now own a house. And the weekend was SO much more than I expected. On Saturday, after finding out Clay just flew face first in the snow after a snowmobile ride with my dad, we decide to go get drinks before dinner. We decided on a new restaurant in town, and I order a glass of champagne. Everyone asked what I was celebrating, and I said LIFE. Little did I know.
Once we reach our walking path near the river, Clay then turns to look at me and says, “This is it.” I say, yes I know it is, you’re the one, etc. He proceeds to say, “No, really…” and pulls out the ring box from his jacket. I blink a couple of times to make sure what I’m seeing is real, and I am speechless when I see the amazing ring he picked. I ask him if he is serious. He is, as he gets down on his knee and asks me to marry him!! First things first, I ask him if he has talked to my father (the protective bald man over his only child), and he did. Phew, so I said YES! Looking back on it now, it’s funny because we only made it a few steps on the sidewalk and not quite to the river. He was just ready to get that ring out of his pocket. But, it was perfect."
