Chandler's proposal from Lizzy's point of view:
"The day after Thanksgiving, we had big plans (full agenda set - I'm a BIG planner!). The schedule was: go to a workout class, followed by lunch, followed by a tour of the WWII Museum. My Dad fought in WWII and has an exhibit there, so I thought it would be special if we went there together. Chandler was never able to meet my Dad because he passed away my freshman year of college - I wanted to share this piece of my life with him.
After we finished the tour, Chandler suggested grabbing a cocktail before heading back to my house. I wanted a nap but he was veerrryyy insistent. A few of my friends wanted to "meet up with us" and suggested Tableau in Jackson Square. Little did I know this would end up being the perfect location and the scene of the crime! He walked me through the square, reminding me of our first trip to New Orleans three years ago and explaining what this spot, city, and I meant to him. Before I knew it, he was on one knee telling me why he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and how he knew I was the one! I was in SHOCK!!! I had zero idea this was coming - I had only hoped he would at least ask my brother over this trip! I kept telling all of my friends, "I am hoping he asks Jimmy this trip... I would be so sad if he didn't!" Of course I said YES! He was so sneaky and had photographers taking photos of the entire proposal. We left Jackson Square in a carriage ride that he set up with champagne waiting. It was truly magical!
The carriage dropped us off at my house. As we walked through the door, all my best friends jumped out to surprise us! It was surprise after surprise with all the people I love most in this world. Chandler had told my best friends from home and school about his big plan and they all came down to New Orleans to show their love and support! I could not have asked for a better man or engagement!"
