Old Ursuline Convent Wedding // Kat & Ryan

Old Ursuline Convent Wedding // Kat & Ryan

Who remembers AIM (AOL Instant Messenger)? Before texting, dating websites, and Tinder, we chatted through this popular site. The intense waiting for that AOL dial-up to go through successfully and occupy our parents' home phone lines was almost too much to handle.  Kat and Ryan's love blossomed over 12 years ago through AIM. They have been together ever since!

French Quarter Wedding // Marianne and Clark

French Quarter Wedding // Marianne and Clark

Every bride cherishes her wedding dress, but Marianne's had an even deeper meaning. Marianne was searching for the perfect gift to give to her mom, something that conveyed gratitude and admiration. During this time, her mother sent her own wedding dress to Marianne to clear up space in her home. When Marianne saw her mother's dress she knew incorporating it into her wedding day would be the perfect gift. A tailor was able to make a few alterations to the dress, such as removing the bow and big sleeves (80's style staples!) and it fit perfectly. Our hearts M E L T at the sight of her mom's reaction to Marianne in her wedding dress.  Marianne then changed into a gorgeous gown from Yvonne LaFleur for the reception, complete with big sweeping ruffles and intricate beading. We wish Marianne and Clark nothing but the best and thank them for letting us capture their special day!

Roosevelt Hotel New Orleans Wedding // Carolyn and Cooper

Roosevelt Hotel New Orleans Wedding // Carolyn and Cooper

After almost ten years together, Carolyn and Cooper made it official with their beautiful New Orleans wedding at Immaculate Conception and The Roosevelt Hotel New Orleans.  We feel extremely lucky to witness and capture special moments that epitomize true love.  It starts with two people meeting and ends with two families becoming one. We loved capturing their family's stories at their rehearsal dinner at the Windsor Court of how each of them became part of the other's family. As Hurricane Nate approached New Orleans, they had to adjust their wedding plans, but it didn't slow these two down a bit. They were such troopers and everything worked out lovely! The wonderful team of vendors seamlessly went with the flow and everyone had a blast!

Timeless Baton Rouge Museum Wedding // Carly and Ted

Timeless Baton Rouge Museum Wedding // Carly and Ted

Carly and Ted’s retelling of their engagement from their own points of view is so much fun to hear! Ted proposed in Dahlonga, Georgia at the Montaluce Vineyards and kept it a complete surprise from Carly! Just like their engagement day, their wedding was also a perfect day at a stunning location: the Capitol Park Museum in Baton Rouge.

Katelyn and Taylor // Floating in Love // Audubon Tea Room Wedding

Katelyn and Taylor // Floating in Love // Audubon Tea Room Wedding

We don't know where to start with these two.  Their huge smiles all day and the way they speak about each other pretty much says it all.  Just watch their #BrideFilm and you're bound to start smiling too.  You have to hear what Taylor did for Katelyn after they got engaged and their reception props are some of the best we've ever seen!  Top it all off with an EPIC EXIT, and you have one amazing New Orleans wedding for two amazing people!

Fun Intimate Race + Religious Wedding // Abby and Mills

Fun Intimate Race + Religious Wedding // Abby and Mills

We absolutely LOVE the story of the beginning of Abby and Mills' relationship.  After briefly talking to Mills from a distance, Abby felt early on that he was going to be an important part of her life.  These two (+ their adorable pup, Soda) hosted their destination New Orleans wedding at Race & Religious, and the day couldn't have been more beautiful.  Mint Julep Productions executed the day perfectly and Antigua Floral + Styling created one of our favorite ceremony backdrops EVER!

Modern Contemporary Art Center Wedding // Colleen and Charles

Modern Contemporary Art Center Wedding // Colleen and Charles

We love that Colleen and Charles built their dream wedding from the ground up (literally!) and combined family traditions in such a beautiful way. Their wedding weekend began with a scenic rehearsal dinner in the French Quarter that overlooked the Mississippi River. The next day was a whirlwind of perfectly executed celebrations thanks to Blue Gardenia Events! The team, including Bee’s Wedding Designs and Firefly Ambiance, took a blank warehouse space and completely transformed it into an elegant reception. Colleen and Charles danced the night away with the help of not one, but two second lines, thanks to the Kinfolk Brass Band and No Limits Band.

Emotional Destination Wedding // Amanda and Mike

Emotional Destination Wedding // Amanda and Mike

Amanda and Mike traveled from New York City to host their destination wedding at the Elms Mansion in New Orleans "one of their favorite cities because of it's embodiment of culture, art, music, food, and festivity" (from their engagement announcement). Same reasons we love our city!
